Medical Expert Reports and Testimony

Our knowledgeable medical billing expert services conduct a detailed, line-by-line analysis utilizing their knowledge of revenue cycles, a variety of benchmark fee structures, market standards, and computer databases to assess what constitutes fair and reasonable prices for your client’s medical expenses.

We help determine the accuracy and fairness of all medical costs incurred relative to a patient’s geographical location, the providers’ experience and training, and additional factoring components.

Our reports make it easy for your firm to evaluate the medical charges associated with your case, aiding in a swift conclusion and resulting in lower litigation expenses. We stand by our evaluation processes and are readily available to serve as expert witnesses in deposition or trial testimony, as needed.

Chargemaster Analysis

Maintaining an accurate chargemaster is key to a physician’s revenue integrity.

Healthcare providers should maintain a comprehensive chargemaster database of billable items and services to ensure accuracy. The chargemaster captures costs from procedures, prescription drugs, supplies, and all fees associated with medical treatments.

At a minimum, a chargemaster should be reviewed annually to confirm all services are listed, remove deactivated codes, and ensure the charge amounts are optimized for payor contract allowable rates. Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes should also be audited and evaluated annually to confirm alignment with UCR charge amounts in a physician’s respective geographic region.
